Romans 3:25-27
New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised Catholic Edition
25 whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement[a] by his blood, effective through faith. He did this to show his righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over the sins previously committed; 26 it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justifies the one who has faith in Jesus.[b]
27 Then what becomes of boasting? It is excluded. By what law? By that of works? No, but by the law of faith.

Romans 3:25-27
Common English Bible
25 Through his faithfulness, God displayed Jesus as the place of sacrifice where mercy is found by means of his blood. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness in passing over sins that happened before, 26 during the time of God’s patient tolerance. He also did this to demonstrate that he is righteous in the present time, and to treat the one who has faith in Jesus as righteous.
27 What happens to our bragging? It’s thrown out. With which law? With what we have accomplished under the Law?
