³⁸ For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,^(A) nor angels nor rulers,^(B) nor things present nor things to come,^(C) nor powers, ³⁹ nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God^(D) that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.^(E)

⁸ Love never ends.^(A) But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end.
