Titus 3:3-5

³ For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions^(A) and pleasures,^(B) living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.

⁴ But when the kindness of God our Saviour and his love for mankind appeared,^{(C) 5} he saved us^(D) – not by works of righteousness that we had done,^(E) but according to his mercy^(F) – through the washing of regeneration^(G) and renewal by the Holy Spirit.^(H)
