Wisdom of Ben Sira 4:2-4

New Catholic Bible

² Do not grieve one who is hungry
    or exasperate someone in distress.
³ Do not add to the problems of those who are desperate,
    or keep them waiting for your charity.
⁴ Do not neglect a suppliant in distress,
    or turn your face away from the poor.
