Making the Ark of the Testimony
37 (A)And Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; its length was two and a half [a]cubits, and its width one and a half cubits, and its height one and a half cubits; 2 and he overlaid it with pure gold inside and out, and made a gold molding for it all around. 3 He cast four rings of gold for it on its four feet; even two rings on one side of it, and two rings on the [b]other side of it. 4 He made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold. 5 He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry [c]it. 6 He made a [d]mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half [e]cubits [f]long and one and a half cubits [g]wide. 7 He made two cherubim of gold; he made them of hammered work [h]at the two ends of the mercy seat; 8 one cherub [i]at the one end and one cherub [j]at the other end; from one piece he made the mercy seat with the cherubim [k]at its two ends. 9 The cherubim had their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward each other; the faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.
Making the Table
10 (B)Then he made the table of acacia wood, two [l]cubits [m]long and a cubit [n]wide and one and a half cubits [o]high. 11 He overlaid it with pure gold and made a gold molding for it all around. 12 He made a rim for it of a handbreadth all around and made a gold molding for its rim all around. 13 He cast four gold rings for it and put the rings on the four corners that were on its four feet. 14 Close to the rim were the rings, the holders for the poles to carry the table. 15 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table. 16 He made the utensils which were on the table, its [p]dishes and its pans and its offering bowls and its jars, with which to pour out drink offerings, of pure gold.
Making the Lampstand
17 (C)Then he made the lampstand of pure gold. He made the lampstand of hammered work, its base and its shaft; its cups, its [q]bulbs, and its flowers were [r]of the same piece. 18 There were six branches going out of its sides; three branches of the lampstand from the one side of it and three branches of the lampstand from the [s]other side of it; 19 three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a [t]bulb and a flower in one branch, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a [u]bulb and a flower in the other branch—so for the six branches coming out of the lampstand. 20 In the lampstand there were four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its [v]bulbs and its flowers; 21 and a [w]bulb was under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a [x]bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a [y]bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand. 22 Their [z]bulbs and their branches were of one piece with it; the whole of it was a single hammered work of pure gold. 23 He made its seven lamps with its tongs and its [aa]trays of pure gold. 24 He made it and all its utensils from a [ab]talent of pure gold.
Making the Altar of Incense
25 (D)Then he made the altar of incense of acacia wood: a cubit [ac]long and a cubit [ad]wide, square, and two cubits [ae]high; its horns were of one piece with it. 26 He overlaid it with pure gold, its top and its [af]sides all around, and its horns; and he made a gold molding for it all around. 27 He made two golden rings for it under its molding, on its two sides—on opposite sides—as holders for poles with which to carry it. 28 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold. 29 (E)And he made the holy anointing oil and the pure, fragrant incense of spices, the work of a perfumer.
Making the Altar of Burnt Offering
38 (F)Then he made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood, five [ag]cubits [ah]long, and five cubits [ai]wide, square, and three cubits [aj]high. 2 He made its horns on its four corners, its horns [ak]being of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with [al]bronze. 3 He made all the utensils of the altar, the pots and the shovels and the bowls, the flesh hooks and the firepans; he made all its utensils of bronze. 4 He made for the altar a grating of a network of bronze beneath, under its ledge, reaching halfway down. 5 He cast four rings on the four ends of the bronze grating as holders for the poles. 6 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze. 7 He inserted the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, with which to carry it. He made it hollow with planks.
Making the Laver of Bronze
8 (G)Moreover, he made the laver of bronze with its base of bronze, [am]from the mirrors of the serving women who served at the doorway of the tent of meeting.
Making the Court
9 (H)Then he made the court: [an]for the south side the hangings of the court were of fine twisted linen, [ao]one hundred cubits; 10 their twenty pillars, and their twenty bases, made of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their [ap]bands were of silver. 11 For the north side there were one hundred cubits; their twenty pillars and their twenty bases were of bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their bands were of silver. 12 For the west side there were hangings of [aq]fifty cubits with their ten pillars and their ten bases; the hooks of the pillars and their bands were of silver. 13 For the east side toward the sunrise fifty cubits. 14 The hangings for the one [ar]side of the gate were [as]fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and their three bases, 15 and so for the [at]other [au]side. [av]On both sides of the gate of the court were hangings of fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and their three bases. 16 All the hangings of the court all around were of fine twisted linen. 17 The bases for the pillars were of bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their bands were of silver; and the overlaying of their tops were of silver, and all the pillars of the court were furnished with silver bands. 18 The screen of the gate of the court was the work of the [aw]weaver, of [ax]blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen. And the length was [ay]twenty cubits and the [az]height was five cubits, corresponding to the hangings of the court. 19 Their four pillars and their four bases were of bronze; their hooks were of silver, and the overlaying of their tops and their bands were of silver. 20 All the pegs of the [ba]tabernacle and of the court all around were of bronze.
The Things Numbered for the Tabernacle
21 These are the things numbered for the [bb]tabernacle, the [bc]tabernacle of the testimony, as they were [bd]numbered according to the [be]command of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 22 Now (I)Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that Yahweh had commanded Moses. 23 With him was (J)Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, a craftsman and a skillful designer and a [bf]weaver in [bg]blue and in purple and in scarlet material and fine linen.
24 All the gold that was used for the work, in all the work of the sanctuary, even the gold of the wave offering, was [bh]29 talents and [bi]730 shekels, according to (K)the shekel of the sanctuary. 25 (L)The silver of those of the congregation who were [bj]numbered was [bk]100 talents and [bl]1,775 shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; 26 (M)a beka a head (that is, half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary), for each one who passed over to those who were [bm]numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for (N)603,550 men. 27 One hundred talents of silver were for casting the bases of the sanctuary and the bases of the veil; one hundred bases for one hundred talents, a talent for a base. 28 Of the 1,775 shekels, he made hooks for the pillars and overlaid their tops and made bands for them. 29 The bronze of the wave offering was 70 talents and 2,400 shekels. 30 With it he made the bases to the doorway of the tent of meeting, and the bronze altar and its bronze grating, and all the utensils of the altar, 31 and the bases of the court all around and the bases of the gate of the court, and all the pegs of the [bn]tabernacle and all the pegs of the court all around.
Jesus Is Risen!
28 (A)Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, (B)Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for (C)an angel of the [a]Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away (D)the stone and sat upon it. 3 And (E)his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 And the guards quaked from fear of him and became like dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said to the women, “[b](F)Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. 6 He is not here, for He has risen, (G)just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you (H)into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”
8 And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to report it to His disciples. 9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him. 10 Then Jesus *said to them, “[c](I)Do not be afraid; go and report to (J)My brothers to leave (K)for Galilee, and there they will see Me.”
11 Now while they were on their way, behold, some of (L)the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all that had happened. 12 And when they had assembled with the elders and took counsel together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, 13 and said, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came by night and stole Him away while we were asleep.’ 14 And if this is heard before (M)the governor, we will win him over and [d]keep you out of trouble.” 15 And they took the money and did as they had been instructed; and this story was widely (N)spread among the Jews, and is (O)to this day.
The Great Commission
16 But the eleven disciples proceeded (P)to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. 17 And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but (Q)some doubted. 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “(R)All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 [e](S)Go therefore and (T)make disciples of (U)all the nations, (V)baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to keep all that I commanded you; and behold, (W)I am with you [f]always, even to (X)the end of the age.”
