Revised Geneva Translation (RGT)
Version
Zechariah 4-5

And the Angel that talked with me came back and awakened me, as a man who is raised out of his sleep,

and said to me, “What do you see?” And I said, “I have looked, and behold, a candlestick, all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps within, and seven pipes to the lamps which were on top,

“and two olive trees over it, one upon the right side of the bowl and the other upon its left side.”

And I answered and spoke to the Angel that talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?

Then the Angel that talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.”

Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is the Word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Neither by an army nor by strength, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of Hosts.

‘Who are you, O great mountain, before Zerubbabel? A plain! And he shall bring forth its headstone, with shoutings, “Grace! Grace to it!”’”

Moreover, the Word of the LORD came to me, saying,

“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this House. His hands shall also finish it. And you shall know that the LORD of Hosts has sent me to you.

10 “For who has despised the day of the small things? But they shall rejoice and shall see the stone of tin in the hand of Zerubbabel! These seven are the Eyes of the LORD, which go through the whole world.”

11 Then I answered, and said to him, “What are these two olive trees upon its right and upon its left sides?”

12 And I spoke moreover, and said to him, “What are these two olive branches which empty themselves into the gold through the two golden pipes?”

13 And he answered me, and said, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.”

14 Then he said, “These are the two olive branches that stand with the Ruler of the whole Earth.

Then I turned and lifted up my eyes and looked and beheld a flying book!

And he said to me, “What do you see?” And I answered, “I see a flying book! Its length is twenty cubits! And its width is ten cubits!”

Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes forth over the whole Earth. ‘For everyone who steals shall be cut off, according to this side of the scroll. And everyone who swears shall be cut off, according to that side of the scroll.

‘I will bring it forth,’ says the LORD of Hosts, ‘and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who falsely swears by My Name. And it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it, with its timber and its stones.’”

Then the Angel that talked with me went forth and said to me, “Now, lift up your eyes and see what this is that goes forth.”

And I said, “What is it?” And he said, “This is an ephah that goes forth.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance throughout all the Earth.”

And behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead. And this is a woman who sits in the midst of the ephah.

And he said, “This is wickedness.” And he cast it into the midst of the ephah. And he cast the weight of lead upon its mouth.

Then I lifted my eyes and looked. And behold, two women came out. And the wind was in their wings (for they had wings like the wings of a stork). And they lifted up the ephah between the Earth and the sky.

10 Then I said to the Angel that talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah?”

11 And he said to me, “To build it a house in the land of Shinar. And it shall be established and set there, upon its own place.”

Revelation 14

14 Then I looked. And lo, a Lamb stood on mount Zion; and with him 144,000, having his Father’s Name written in their foreheads.

And I heard a voice from Heaven, as the sound of many waters, and as the sound of a great thunder. And I heard the voice of harpists, harping with their harps.

And they sang (as it were) a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts and the elders. And no one could learn that song except the 144,000 who were bought from the Earth.

These are those who are not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These are bought from man, being the firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.

And in their mouths was found no deceit. For they are without spot before the throne of God.

Then I saw another angel fly in the midst of Heaven - having an everlasting Gospel to preach to those who dwell on the Earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people -

saying with a loud voice, “Fear God! And give glory to Him! For the hour of His judgment has come! And worship Him who made Heaven and Earth and the sea and the fountains of waters!”

And there followed another angel, saying, “Babylon, that great city is fallen! It is fallen! For she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication!”

And a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worship the beast and his image - and receives his mark on his forehead, or on his hand -

10 the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God; indeed, of the pure wine which is poured into the cup of His wrath! And he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy angels, and before the Lamb!

11 “And the smoke of their torment shall ascend evermore! And they shall have no rest, day nor night, who worship the beast and his name!”

12 Here is the patience of saints. Here are those who keep the Commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13 Then I heard a voice from Heaven, saying to me, “Write: ‘The dead who die in the Lord are fully blessed.’” “Even so,” says the Spirit, “for they rest from their labors and their works still follow them.”

14 And I looked. And there was a white cloud. And upon the cloud, One sitting Who looks like the Son of Man; having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.

15 And another angel came out of the Temple, crying with a loud voice to Him Who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in your sickle and reap! For the time has come to reap! For the harvest of the Earth is ripe!”

16 And He Who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the Earth. And the Earth was reaped.

17 Then another angel came out of the Temple, which is in Heaven, having also a sharp sickle.

18 And another angel came out from the altar - who had power over fire - and cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, and said, “Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vineyard of the Earth! For her grapes are ripe!”

19 And the angel thrust in his sharp sickle on the Earth, and cut down the vines of the vineyard of the Earth and cast them into that great winepress of the wrath of God.

20 And the winepress was trampled outside the City. And blood flowed out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for the space of 1600 furlongs.

Psalm 142

142 I cried to the LORD with my voice! With my voice I prayed to the LORD.

I poured out my meditation before Him, declared my affection in His presence.

Though my spirit was overwhelmed in me, You still knew my path. They have secretly laid a snare for me in the way wherein I walk.

I looked on my right hand and beheld, but there was no one who knew me. All refuge failed me. No one cared for my soul.

I cried to You, O LORD, and said, “You are my Hope, my portion in the land of the living.

“Listen to my cry, for I am brought very low. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.

“Bring my soul out of prison, so that I may praise Your Name. The righteous shall surround me when You are beneficial to me.” A Psalm of David

Proverbs 30:21-23

21 For three things the Earth is moved. Indeed, for four it cannot sustain itself:

22 for a servant when he reigns, a fool when he is filled with meat,

23 for the hateful woman when she is married, and for a handmaid that is heir to her mistress.
