Revised Geneva Translation (RGT)
Version
Numbers 8-9

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

“Speak to Aaron, and say to him, ‘When you light the Lamps, the seven Lamps shall give light toward the front of the Candlestick.’”

And Aaron did so, lighting its lamps toward the front of the Candlestick, as the LORD had Commanded Moses.

And this was the work of the Candlestick, of gold beaten out with the hammer. Both the shaft and its flower were beaten out with the hammer. According to the pattern which the LORD had shown Moses, so he made the Candlestick.

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

“Take the Levites from among the children of Israel and purify them.

“And you shall do this to them when you purify them: sprinkle Water of Purification upon them, and let them shave all their flesh and wash their clothes. So they shall be clean.

“Then they shall take a young bullock, with his Meat Offering of fine flour mingled with oil. And you shall take another young bullock for a Sin Offering.

“Then you shall bring the Levites before the Tabernacle of the Congregation and assemble all the Congregation of the children of Israel.

10 “You shall also bring the Levites before the LORD. And the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.

11 “And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD as a Shake Offering of the children of Israel, so that they may execute the service of the LORD.

12 “And the Levites shall put their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and you shall make one a Sin Offering and the other a Burnt Offering to the LORD, so that you may make an atonement for the Levites.

13 “And you shall set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a Shake Offering to the LORD.

14 “Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel. And the Levites shall be Mine.

15 “And afterward, the Levites shall go in to serve in the Tabernacle of the Congregation. And you shall purify them and offer them as a Shake Offering.

16 “For they are freely given to Me from among the children of Israel. I have taken to Me all who open any womb, all the firstborn of the children of Israel.

17 “For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are Mine, both of man and beast. Since the day that I struck every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for Myself.

18 “And I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn of the children of Israel,

19 “and have given the Levites to Aaron as a gift, and to his sons, from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, so that there is no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come near to the Sanctuary.”

20 Then Moses and Aaron and all the Congregation of the children of Israel did with the Levites according to all that the LORD had Commanded Moses concerning the Levites. So did the children of Israel to them.

21 So the Levites were purified and washed their clothes. And Aaron offered them as a Shake Offering before the LORD. And Aaron made an atonement for them, to purify them.

22 And after that, the Levites went in to do their service in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, before Aaron and before his sons. As the LORD had Commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.

23 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

24 “This also pertains to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to execute their office in the service of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

25 “And after the age of fifty years, they shall cease from executing the office, and shall serve no more.

26 “But they shall minister with their brothers in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, to keep things committed to their charge. But they shall do no service. Thus shall you do to the Levites concerning their charge.”

And the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year, after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

“The children of Israel shall also celebrate the Passover at the time appointed.

“On the fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, you shall keep it, in its due season. According to all the Ordinances of it and according to all its ceremonies shall you keep it.”

Then Moses spoke to the children of Israel, to celebrate the Passover.

And they kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight, in the wilderness of Sinai. According to all that the LORD had Commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.

And certain men were defiled by a dead man, so that they might not keep the Passover on the same day. And they came before Moses and before Aaron on the same day.

And those men said to him, “We are defiled by a dead man. Why are we kept back so that we may not offer an offering to the LORD in the time appointed among the children of Israel?”

Then Moses said to them, “Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will Command concerning you.”

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

10 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say, ‘If any among you, or of your posterity, shall be unclean by the reason of a corpse, or be on a long journey, he shall keep the Passover to the LORD.

11 ‘On the fourteenth day of the second month, at twilight, they shall keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and sour herbs.

12 ‘They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break any bone of it. According to all the Ordinance of the Passover shall they keep it.

13 ‘But the man who is clean, and is not on a journey, and is negligent to keep the Passover, the same person shall be cut off from his people. Because he did not bring the offering of the LORD in its due season, that man shall bear his sin.

14 ‘And if a stranger dwells among you, and would keep the Passover to the LORD, as the Ordinance of the Passover, and as is its manner, so shall he do. You shall have one Law for both the stranger and for him who was born in the same land.’”

15 And when the Tabernacle was raised up, a cloud covered the Tabernacle—the Tabernacle of the Testimony. And from evening until morning there was the appearance of fire upon the Tabernacle.

16 So it was always. The cloud covered it by day and the appearance of fire by night.

17 And when the cloud was taken up from the Tabernacle, then afterward the children of Israel journeyed. And in the place where the cloud stayed, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.

18 At the Commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed. And at the Commandment of the LORD, they pitched. As long as the cloud stayed upon the Tabernacle, they lay still.

19 And when the cloud lingered upon the Tabernacle a long time, the children of Israel kept the watch of the LORD and did not journey.

20 So when the cloud stayed a few days upon the Tabernacle, they stayed in their tents, according to the Commandment of the LORD. For they journeyed at the Commandment of the LORD.

21 And though the cloud stayed upon the Tabernacle from evening until the morning, if the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed. Whether by day or by night the cloud was taken up, then they journeyed.

22 Or if the cloud lingered two days, or a month, or a year upon the Tabernacle, staying there, the children of Israel stayed still, and did not journey. But when it was taken up, they journeyed.

23 At the Commandment of the LORD they pitched, and at the Commandment of the LORD they journeyed, keeping the watch of the LORD at the Commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

Mark 13:14-37

14 “Moreover, when you shall see the Abomination of Desolation (spoken of by Daniel the Prophet) set where it ought not be, let whoever hears consider it. Then let those who are in Judea flee into the mountains.

15 “And let no one who is upon the house come down into the house, nor enter into it to fetch anything out of his house.

16 “And let no one who is in the field turn back again to take his garment.

17 “Then woe shall be to those who are with child, and to those who nurse in those days.

18 “Pray, therefore, that your flight is not in the winter.

19 “For those days shall be such tribulation as was not from the beginning of the Creation (which God created) until this time, nor shall be.

20 “And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved. But for the Elect’s sake (which He has chosen) He has shortened those days.

21 “Then, if anyone says to you, ‘Lo, here is Christ’, or ‘Look, he is there’, do not believe it.

22 “For false christs shall rise, and false prophets, and shall show signs and wonders to deceive (if it were possible) the very Elect.

23 “But beware. Behold, I have shown you all things before.

24 “Moreover, in those days, after that tribulation, the Sun shall grow dark. And the Moon shall not give her light.

25 “And the stars of Heaven shall fall. And the powers which are in Heaven shall shake.

26 “And then they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and Glory.

27 “And then He shall send his angels and shall gather together His Elect from the four winds and from the utmost part of the Earth to the utmost part of Heaven.

28 “Now learn a parable of the fig tree. When her branch is still tender, and it brings forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

29 “So, in like manner, when you see these things happen, know that the Kingdom of God is near, even at the doors.

30 “Truly I say to you that this generation shall not pass till all these things are done.

31 “Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

32 “But of that day and hour knows no one. No, not the angels who are in Heaven, nor the Son Himself, but the Father.

33 “Beware. Watch. And pray. For you do not know when the time is.

34 “For the Son of Man is as a man who goes into a strange country and leaves his house, and gives authority to his servants, and to everyone his work, and commands the doorman to watch.

35 Watch, therefore. For you do not know when the master of the house will come - at evening or at midnight, at the cock crowing or in the dawning.

36 Lest, if he comes suddenly, he should find you sleeping.

37 And these things that I say to you, I say to all. Watch.

Psalm 50

50 The God of gods, The LORD, has spoken and called the Earth, from the rising up of the Sun to the going down thereof.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, has God shined.

Our God shall come and shall not keep silent. A fire shall devour before Him, and a mighty storm shall be moved around Him.

He shall call the heaven above and the Earth, to judge His people.

“Gather My saints together to Me, those who make a covenant with Me with sacrifice.”

And the heavens shall declare His righteousness; for God is Judge Himself. Selah.

“Hear, O My people, and I will speak. Hear, O Israel, and I will testify to you. I am God. Your God.

“I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings continually before me.

“I will take no bullock out of your house, nor goats out of your folds.

10 “For all the beasts of the forest are Mine, the beasts on a thousand mountains.

11 “I know all the birds on the mountains; and the wild beasts of the field are Mine.

12 “If I am hungry, I will not tell you. For the world is Mine and all that therein is.

13 “Will I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?

14 “Offer praise to God; and pay your vows to the Most High.

15 “And call upon Me on the day of trouble. I will deliver you and you shall glorify Me.”

16 But to the wicked God said, “Why have you declared My ordinances, that you would take My Covenant in your mouth,

17 “seeing you hate to be reformed and have cast My words behind you?

18 “For when you see a thief, you run with him; and you are partaker with the adulterers.

19 “You give your mouth to evil; and with your tongue you forge deceit.

20 “You sit and speak against your brother and slander your mother’s son.

21 “These things you have done; and I held My tongue. Therefore, you thought that I was like you. But I will rebuke you and set them in order before your eyes.

22 “Oh, consider this, you who forget God; lest I tear you in pieces and there are none who can deliver you.

23 “He who offers praise shall glorify Me. And to him who sets his way aright, I will show the salvation of God.” To him who excels: A Psalm of David, when the Prophet Nathan came to him, after he had gone into Bathsheba.

Proverbs 10:29-30

29 The way of the LORD is strength to the upright. But fear shall be for the workers of iniquity.

30 The righteous shall never be removed. But the wicked shall not dwell in the land.
