36 And the king shall do what he pleases. He shall exalt himself, and magnify himself against all that is God; and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods; and shall prosper, till the wrath be accomplished. For the determination is made.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desires of women, nor care for any God. For he shall magnify himself above all.
38 But in his place, shall he honor the god, Mauzzim. And the god whom his fathers knew not, shall he honor with gold and with silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the holds of Mauzzim, with a strange god whom he shall acknowledge. He shall increase his glory, and shall cause those who honor him to rule over many; and shall divide the land for gain.
40 And at the end of time, shall the king of the South gore him. And the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships. And he shall enter into the countries, and shall overwhelm, and pass through.
41 He shall enter also into the beautiful land. And many countries shall be overthrown. But these shall escape out of his hand: Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
42 He shall also stretch forth his hands upon the countries. And the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 For he shall have power over the treasures of gold, and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt. And the Libyans, and the Ethiopians, shall follow in his footsteps.
44 But the news out of the East and the North shall trouble him. Therefore, he shall go forth with great wrath to destroy and root out many.
45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas on the glorious and holy mountain. Yet, he shall come to his end. And no one shall help him.
12 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince, who stands for the children of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there began to be a nation until that same time. And at that time, your people shall be delivered; everyone who shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth, shall awake; some to everlasting life, and some to shame and perpetual contempt.
3 And those who are wise, shall shine; as the brightness of the sky. And those who turn many to righteousness, shall shine as the stars, forever and ever.
4 But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, till the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro. And knowledge shall be increased.
5 Then I, Daniel, looked. And behold, there stood two others: one on this side of the riverbank, and the other on the other side of the riverbank.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was upon the waters of the river, “When shall the end of these wonders come?”
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, two times, and half a time. And when he shall have shattered the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
8 Though I heard it, I did not understand. Then I said, “O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?”
9 And he said, “Go your way, Daniel. For the words are closed up, and sealed, till the end of the time.
10 “Many shall be purified, made white, and tried. But the wicked shall do wickedly. And none of the wicked shall have understanding. But the wise shall understand.
11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abominable desolation set up, there shall be a thousand, two hundred and ninety days.
12 “Blessed is he who and comes and awaits the thousand, three hundred and thirty-five days.
13 But go your way, till the end. For you shall rest, and arise for your portion, at the end of days.”
4 Dearly beloved, do not believe every spirit. But test the spirits to see if they are of God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 By this you shall know the Spirit of God: Every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God.
3 And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, is not of God. But this is the spirit of Antichrist, of whom you have heard; how that he would come and is now already in this world.
4 Little children, you are of God; and have overcome them! For greater is He Who is in you than he who is in this world.
5 They are of this world. Therefore, they speak of this world. And this world hears them.
6 We are of God. The one who knows God hears us. The one who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another. For love comes from God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
8 The one who does not love does not know God. For God is love.
9 In this was that love of God revealed amongst us: because God sent His only begotten Son into this world, so that we might live through Him.
10 In this is that love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a reconciliation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us. And His love is perfected in us.
13 By this we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us: because He has given us of His Spirit.
14 And we have seen (and do testify) that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God - God dwells in him and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God has in us. God is love. And the one who dwells in love, dwells in God, and God in him.
17 In this is that love perfected in us: that we should have boldness on the Day of Judgment. For as He is, even so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love casts out fear. For fear has painfulness. And the one who fears has not been perfected in love.
19 We love Him because He loved us first.
20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For how can one who does not love his brother - whom he has seen - love God, Whom he has not seen?
21 And this Commandment we have from Him: that the one who loves God should love his brother also.
123 I lift up my eyes to You Who dwell in the heavens.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maiden to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God until He has mercy on us.
3 Have mercy on us, O LORD! Have mercy on us; for we have suffered too much contempt.
4 Our soul is filled too full with the mocking of the wealthy and the contempt of the proud. A song of degrees, or Psalm, of David
2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked rule, the people sigh.
3 A man who loves wisdom rejoices his father. But he who associates with harlots wastes his substance.
4 By judgment, a king maintains the country. But a man who receives gifts destroys it.
