Version
Zechariah 8

Again the Word of the LORD of Hosts came, saying,

“Thus says the LORD of Hosts: ‘I was zealous for Zion with great zeal! And I was zealous for her with great wrath!’

“Thus says the LORD: ‘I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And Jerusalem shall be called a City of Truth, and the Mountain of the LORD of Hosts, the Holy Mountain.’

“Thus says the LORD of Hosts: ‘There, old men and old women shall still dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand because of age.

‘And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls, playing in her streets.’

“Thus says the LORD of Hosts: ‘Even if it is impossible in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it therefore be impossible in My sight?’ says the LORD of Hosts.

“Thus says the LORD of Hosts: ‘Behold, I will deliver My people from the East country, and from the West country.

‘And I will bring them. And they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And they shall be My people. And I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.’

“Thus says the LORD of Hosts: ‘Let your hands be strong, you who today hear these Words by the mouths of the Prophets who were in the day that the foundation of the House of the LORD of Hosts was laid, so that the Temple might be built.

10 ‘For before these days, there were no wages for man, or any hire for beast. Nor was there any peace for him who went out or came in, because of the affliction. For I set all men, everyone, against his neighbor.

11 ‘But now, I will not treat the rest of this people as before,’ says the LORD of Hosts.

12 ‘For the seed shall be prosperous. The vine shall give her fruit. And the ground shall give her increase. And the heavens shall give their dew. And I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

13 ‘And it shall happen at that time that as you were a curse among the heathen, O House of Judah, and House of Israel, so I will deliver you. And you shall be a blessing. Do not fear! Let your hands be strong!’

14 “For thus says the LORD of Hosts: ‘As I thought to punish you when your fathers provoked Me to wrath,’ says the LORD of Hosts, ‘and did not repent,

15 ‘So again have I determined in these days to do well to Jerusalem, and to the House of Judah. Do not fear.

16 ‘These are the things that you shall do: Every man speak the truth to his neighbor. Execute judgment truly and uprightly in your gates.

17 ‘And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor. And love no false oath. For these are all things that I hate,’ says the LORD.”

18 And the Word of the LORD of Hosts came to me, saying,

19 “Thus says the LORD of Hosts: ‘The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be joy and gladness to the House of Judah, and prosperous High Feasts. Therefore, love the truth and peace.’

20 “Thus says the LORD of Hosts: ‘People shall still come, the inhabitants of great cities.

21 ‘And those who dwell in one shall go to another, saying, “Up! Let us go and pray before the LORD and seek the LORD of Hosts! I will go also!”

22 ‘Yea, great people and mighty nations shall come to seek the LORD of Hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.’

23 “Thus says the LORD of Hosts: ‘In those days, ten men shall take hold—out of all languages of the nations— take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, and say, ‘We will go with you! For we have heard that God is with you!’”

Revelation 16

16 And I heard a great voice out of the Temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven vials of the wrath of God upon the Earth!”

And the first went and poured out his vial upon the Earth. And there fell an evil and grievous sore upon the men who had the mark of the beast, and upon those who worshipped his image.

And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea. And it became like the blood of a dead man. And every living thing in the sea died.

And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters. And they became blood.

And I heard the angel of the waters say, “Lord, You are just - Who are, and Who was - and Holy, because You have judged these things.

For they shed the blood of the saints and Prophets. And therefore have you given them blood to drink. For they are worthy.”

And I heard another say from the Sanctuary, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”

And the fourth angel poured out his vial on the Sun. And it was given to him to torment man with the heat of fire.

And man boiled in great heat and blasphemed the Name of God, Who has power over these plagues. And they did not repent, to give Him glory.

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the throne of the beast, and the kingdom grew dark. And they gnawed their tongues for sorrow.

11 And blasphemed the God of Heaven for their pains, and for their sores, and did not repent of their works.

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates. And the water thereof dried up, so the way of the Kings of the East would be prepared.

13 And I saw three unclean spirits, like frogs, come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of demons, working miracles to go to the kings of the Earth; and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle on that great Day of God Almighty.

15 “Behold I come as a thief. Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and man sees his filthiness.”

16 And they gathered together into a place called ‘Armageddon’ in Hebrew.

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air. And there came a loud voice out of the Temple of Heaven from the throne, saying, “It is done!”

18 And there were voices and thunderings and lightnings. And there was a great earthquake unlike any since man has been upon the Earth, such a mighty an earthquake it was.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts. And the cities of the nations fell. And God as reminded of the great Babylon; to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

20 And every isle fled away. And the mountains were not found.

21 And there fell great hail - the weight of a talent - out of Heaven upon man. And man blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail. For the plague thereof was exceedingly great.

Psalm 144

144 Blessed be the LORD, my strength; Who teaches my hands to fight and my fingers to battle,

my goodness and my fortress, my tower and my deliverer, my shield. I trust in Him Who subdues my people under me.

LORD, what is man that You regard him, the son of man that You think upon him?

Man is like vanity, his days like a shadow that vanishes.

Bow Your heavens, O LORD, and come down. Touch the mountains and they shall smoke.

Cast forth the lightning and scatter them. Shoot out Your arrows and consume them.

Send Your hand from above. Deliver me, and take me out of the great waters, and from the hand of strangers,

whose mouth talks vanity. And their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

I will sing a new song to You, O God—sing to You upon a viol, an instrument of ten strings—

10 Who gives deliverance to kings, rescues David, His servant, from the hurtful sword.

11 Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of strangers, whose mouth talks vanity; and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood,

12 so that our sons may be as the plants (growing up in their youth) and our daughters as the cornerstones (sculpted in the likeness of a palace);

13 so that our corners may be full—abounding with diverse sorts — and that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousand in our streets;

14 so that our oxen may be strong to labor; so that there is no invasion nor going out nor crying in our streets.

15 Blessed are the people who are so. Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD. A Psalm of David, of praise

Proverbs 30:29-31

29 There are three things that order well their going. Indeed, four are stately in going:

30 A lion (which is strong among beasts and does not turn at the sight of any),

31 a lusty greyhound, a goat, and a king against whom there is no rising up.
