New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB1995)
Version
Ezekiel 45:13-46:24

13 “This is the offering that you shall offer: a sixth of an ephah from a homer of wheat; a sixth of an ephah from a homer of barley; 14 and the prescribed portion of oil (namely, the bath of oil), a tenth of a bath from each kor (which is ten baths or a homer, for ten baths are a homer); 15 and one sheep from each flock of two hundred from the watering places of Israel—for a (A)grain offering, for a burnt offering and for peace offerings, to (B)make atonement for them,” declares the Lord God. 16 (C)All the people of the land shall [a]give to this offering for the (D)prince in Israel. 17 It shall be the (E)prince’s part to provide the (F)burnt offerings, the grain offerings and the drink offerings, at the (G)feasts, on the (H)new moons and on the sabbaths, at all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel; he shall provide the sin offering, the grain offering, the burnt offering and the (I)peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.”

18 ‘Thus says the Lord God, “In the (J)first month, on the first of the month, you shall take a young bull (K)without blemish and (L)cleanse the sanctuary. 19 The priest shall take some of the blood from the sin offering and put it on the door posts of the house, on the (M)four corners of the (N)ledge of the altar and on the posts of the gate of the inner court. 20 Thus you shall do on the seventh day of the month for everyone who goes (O)astray or is [b]naive; so you shall make (P)atonement for the house.

21 “In the (Q)first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall have the (R)Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten. 22 On that day the prince shall provide for himself and all the people of the land a (S)bull for a sin offering. 23 During the (T)seven days of the feast he shall provide as a (U)burnt offering to the Lord (V)seven bulls and seven rams without blemish on every day of the seven days, and a male goat daily for a sin offering. 24 He shall provide as a (W)grain offering an ephah [c]with a bull, an ephah [d]with a ram and a hin of oil [e]with an ephah. 25 In the (X)seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, at the feast, he shall provide like this, seven days [f]for the sin offering, the burnt offering, the grain offering and the oil.”

The Prince’s Offerings

46 ‘Thus says the Lord [g]God, “The (Y)gate of the (Z)inner court facing east shall be (AA)shut the six (AB)working days; but it shall be opened on the (AC)sabbath day and opened on the day of the (AD)new moon. The (AE)prince shall enter by way of the porch of the gate from outside and stand by the (AF)post of the gate. Then the priests shall provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate and then go out; but the gate shall not be (AG)shut until the evening. The (AH)people of the land shall also worship at the doorway of that gate before the Lord on the sabbaths and on the (AI)new moons. The (AJ)burnt offering which the prince shall offer to the Lord on the sabbath day shall be (AK)six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish; and the (AL)grain offering shall be an ephah [h]with the ram, and the grain offering [i]with the lambs [j]as much as he is (AM)able to give, and a hin of oil [k]with an ephah. On the day of the (AN)new moon he shall offer a young bull without blemish, also six lambs and a ram, which shall be without blemish. And he shall provide a (AO)grain offering, an ephah [l]with the bull and an ephah [m]with the ram, and [n]with the lambs as [o]much as he is (AP)able, and a hin of oil [p]with an ephah. When the (AQ)prince enters, he shall go in by way of the porch of the gate and go out [q]by the same way. But when the people of the land come (AR)before the Lord at the appointed feasts, he who enters by way of the north gate to worship shall go out by way of the south gate. And he who enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. [r]No one shall return by way of the gate by which he entered but shall go straight out. 10 When they go in, the prince shall go in (AS)among them; and when they go out, [s]he shall go out.

11 “At the (AT)festivals and the appointed feasts the (AU)grain offering shall be an ephah [t]with a bull and an ephah [u]with a ram, and [v]with the lambs as [w]much as one is able to give, and a hin of oil [x]with an ephah. 12 When the prince provides a (AV)freewill offering, a burnt offering, or peace offerings as a freewill offering to the Lord, the gate facing east shall be (AW)opened for him. And he shall provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he does on the (AX)sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and the gate shall be shut after he goes out.

13 “And you shall provide a (AY)lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering to the Lord daily; (AZ)morning by morning you shall provide it. 14 Also you shall provide a grain offering with it morning by morning, a (BA)sixth of an ephah and a third of a hin of oil to moisten the fine flour, a grain offering to the Lord continually by a perpetual [y]ordinance. 15 Thus they shall provide the lamb, the grain offering and the oil, morning by morning, for a (BB)continual burnt offering.”

16 ‘Thus says the Lord God, “If the prince gives a (BC)gift out of his inheritance to any of his sons, it shall belong to his sons; it is their possession by inheritance. 17 But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be his until the (BD)year of liberty; then it shall return to the prince. His inheritance shall be only his sons’; it shall belong to them. 18 The prince shall (BE)not take from the people’s inheritance, [z](BF)thrusting them out of their possession; he shall give his sons inheritance from his own possession so that My people will not be scattered, anyone from his possession.”’”

The Boiling Places

19 Then he brought me through the (BG)entrance, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers for the priests, which faced north; and behold, there was a place at the extreme rear toward the west. 20 He said to me, “This is the place where the priests shall boil the (BH)guilt offering and the sin offering and where they shall (BI)bake the grain offering, in order that they may not bring them out into the outer court to transmit holiness to the people.”

21 Then he brought me out into the outer court and led me across to the four corners of the court; and behold, in every corner of the court there was a small court. 22 In the four corners of the court there were enclosed courts, forty cubits long and thirty wide; these four in the corners were [aa]the same size. 23 There was a row of masonry round about in them, around the four of them, and boiling places were made under the rows round about. 24 Then he said to me, “These are the boiling [ab]places where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifices of the people.”

1 Peter 1:13-2:10

13 Therefore, [a](A)prepare your minds for action, [b](B)keep sober in spirit, fix your (C)hope completely on the (D)grace [c]to be brought to you at (E)the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As [d](F)obedient children, do not [e](G)be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your (H)ignorance, 15 but [f](I)like the Holy One who called you, [g](J)be holy yourselves also (K)in all your behavior; 16 because it is written, “(L)You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

17 If you (M)address as Father the One who (N)impartially (O)judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves (P)in fear during the time of your (Q)stay on earth; 18 knowing that you were not [h](R)redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your (S)futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, 19 but with precious (T)blood, as of a (U)lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. 20 For He was (V)foreknown before (W)the foundation of the world, but has (X)appeared [i]in these last times (Y)for the sake of you 21 who through Him are (Z)believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and (AA)gave Him glory, so that your faith and (AB)hope are in God.

22 Since you have (AC)in obedience to the truth (AD)purified your souls for a [j](AE)sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from [k]the heart, 23 for you have been (AF)born again (AG)not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring (AH)word of God. 24 For,

(AI)All flesh is like grass,
And all its glory like the flower of grass.
The grass withers,
And the flower falls off,
25 (AJ)But the word of the Lord endures forever.”

And this is (AK)the word which was [l]preached to you.

As Newborn Babes

Therefore, (AL)putting aside all [m]malice and all deceit and [n]hypocrisy and [o]envy and all [p](AM)slander, (AN)like newborn babies, long for the [q](AO)pure [r]milk of the word, so that by it you may (AP)grow [s]in respect to salvation, if you have (AQ)tasted [t](AR)the kindness of the Lord.

As Living Stones

And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been (AS)rejected by men, but is [u]choice and precious in the sight of God, (AT)you also, as living stones, [v]are being built up as a (AU)spiritual house for a holy (AV)priesthood, to (AW)offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in [w]Scripture:

(AX)Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a (AY)precious corner stone,
And he who believes in [x]Him will not be [y]disappointed.”

(AZ)This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve,

(BA)The stone which the builders (BB)rejected,
This became the very corner stone,”

and,

(BC)A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”;

(BD)for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, (BE)and to this doom they were also appointed.

But you are (BF)a chosen race, a royal (BG)priesthood, a (BH)holy nation, (BI)a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you (BJ)out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 (BK)for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Psalm 119:33-48

He.

33 (A)Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes,
And I shall observe it to the end.
34 (B)Give me understanding, that I may (C)observe Your law
And keep it (D)with all my heart.
35 Make me walk in the (E)path of Your commandments,
For I (F)delight in it.
36 (G)Incline my heart to Your testimonies
And not to (H)dishonest gain.
37 Turn away my (I)eyes from looking at vanity,
And (J)revive me in Your ways.
38 (K)Establish Your [a]word to Your servant,
[b]As that which produces reverence for You.
39 (L)Turn away my reproach which I dread,
For Your ordinances are good.
40 Behold, I (M)long for Your precepts;
Revive me through Your righteousness.

Vav.

41 May Your (N)lovingkindnesses also come to me, O Lord,
Your salvation (O)according to Your [c]word;
42 So I will have an (P)answer for him who (Q)reproaches me,
For I trust in Your word.
43 And do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
For I [d](R)wait for Your ordinances.
44 So I will (S)keep Your law continually,
Forever and ever.
45 And I will (T)walk [e]at liberty,
For I (U)seek Your precepts.
46 I will also speak of Your testimonies (V)before kings
And shall not be ashamed.
47 I shall [f](W)delight in Your commandments,
Which I (X)love.
48 And I shall lift up my hands to Your commandments,
Which I (Y)love;
And I will (Z)meditate on Your statutes.

Proverbs 28:11

11 The rich man is (A)wise in his own eyes,
But the poor who has understanding [a]sees through him.
