Hodiah, Hodijah [Hōdī'ah,Hōdī'jah]—splendor of jehovah.

  1. A Levite of the time of Ezra and Nehemiah (Neh. 8:7; 9:5; 10:10, 13).
  2. A chief of the people under Nehemiah (Neh. 10:18). Also name of wife of one Ezra, also called Jehudijah (1 Chron. 4:19).
