Aaron şi fiii săi aduceau jertfe pe altarul arderilor-de-tot şi tămâie pe altarul tămâii, împlineau toate slujbele în Locul Preasfânt şi făceau ispăşire pentru Israel, potrivit cu tot ce poruncise Moise, robul lui Dumnezeu.
