David s-a sculat dis-de-dimineaţă. A lăsat oile în seama unui paznic, şi-a luat lucrurile şi a plecat, cum îi poruncise Isai. Când a ajuns în tabără, oştirea pornise să se aşeze în şiruri de bătaie şi scotea strigăte de război.

David s-a trezit dis-de-dimineaţă, a lăsat oile în grija unui paznic, a luat cu el tot ce i-a poruncit Işai şi a plecat. A ajuns în tabără tocmai când oştirea se alinia în poziţie de luptă, scoţând strigăte de război.
