Then Jesus Says, Now God Was Glorified In Me. And He Will Yet Glorify Me

³¹ Then when he went out, Jesus says, “Now^[a] the Son of Man was glorified^[b], and God was glorified in Him. ³² If God was^[c] glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself— and will glorify Him immediately.

Where I Am Going You Cannot Come. Love One Another As I Have Loved You

³³ “Little-children, I am with you a little longer. You will seek Me, and just as I told the Jews that where I am going, you are not able to come, I also tell you now. ³⁴ I am giving you a new commandment— that you be loving one another; just as I loved you, that you also be loving one another. ³⁵ By this everyone will know that you are disciples to Me: if you are having love in-the-case-of ^[d] one another”.

Peter Asks Why He Can’t Come. You Will Follow Later, But Deny Me Tonight

³⁶ Simon Peter says to Him, “Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered him, “Where I am going, you are not able to follow Me now. But you will follow later”. ³⁷ Peter says to Him, “Lord, for what reason am I not able to follow You right-now? I will lay-down my life for You”. ³⁸ Jesus responds, “Will you lay-down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will by no means crow until which time you deny Me three-times!

I Go To Prepare a Place For You So That You May Be With Me. And You Know The Way

14 “Do not let your^[e] heart be troubled. Be believing^[f] in God. Be believing also in Me. ² There are many places-to-stay^[g] in the house of My Father— otherwise, I would have told you. ³ For I am going to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming back^[h]. And I will take^[i] you to Myself— in order that where I am, you also may be. ⁴ And you know the way where I am going”.

I Am The Way, The Truth, And The Life. And You Have Seen The Father

⁵ Thomas says to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going. How are we able to know the way?” ⁶ Jesus says to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through^[j] Me. ⁷ If you^[k] have known Me, you will know^[l] My Father also. And from now on, you know Him, and you have seen Him”.

He Who Has Seen Me Has Seen The Father

⁸ Philip says to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us”. ⁹ Jesus says to him, “Am I with you^[m] all for so long a time, and you^[n] have not known^[o] Me, Philip?— the one having seen Me has seen the Father. How is it you say, ‘Show us the Father’? ¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? I am not speaking the words which I am saying to you^[p] from Myself, but the Father abiding in Me is doing His works. ¹¹ Be believing Me— that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. Otherwise, be believing because of the works themselves.

You Will Do Greater Works Than I. The Father Will Send You The Helper

¹² “Truly, truly, I say to you— the one believing in Me, that one also will do the works which I am doing. And he will do greater^[q] works than these, because I am going to the Father. ¹³ And whatever thing you ask in My name, this I will do, in order that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴ If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
